Electrical Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV to join our Electrical Installation Team supporting large mining truck programs . In this role, you’ll own end‑to‑end electrical harness and routing designs—from concept through production—working closely with cross‑functional engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role supporting machines tested in Tucson and built in Decatur, IL.
What You’ll Do
- Design and route electrical wire harnesses , cables, and associated hardware for large mining trucks
- Develop and review 3D models, schematics, and engineering drawings using Creo, Pro Cabling, and Electric Lines
- Support design reviews , print checking, and detailing activities
- Ensure compliance with company design standards, safety codes, and best practices
- Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and purchasing teams
- Support cost rollups, FMEA, APQP , and quality initiatives
- Participate in troubleshooting and clearance checks on physical equipment
- Occasionally visit proving grounds and manufacturing facilities
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (accredited program)
- 8+ years of relevant product design experience
- Strong experience with electrical harness design
- Advanced proficiency in Creo, Teamcenter, Pro Cabling / Fluid Lines
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Solid understanding of FMEAs and technical problem‑solving
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- heavy‑equipment experience
- Ability to troubleshoot wiring and cable mounting issues
- 3D clearance checks and Teamcenter Vis Mockup experience
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment and manufacturing environments
