About the Role
We are seeking a Sales Engineer with a background in solar, energy storage, or EV charging systems to join our growing energy solutions team. In this role, you will combine technical expertise and customer focus to support the sale, design, and installation of residential bidirectional EV chargers that enable vehicle-to-home (V2H) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) applications.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical expertise during customer consultations.
- Conduct virtual or on-site site assessments and evaluate installation feasibility.
- Design integrated residential solutions involving EV charging, solar, and battery storage.
- Support interconnection applications and utility compliance processes.
- Partner with project managers and installers to deliver seamless installations.
- Educate customers on bidirectional charging and home energy benefits.
- Maintain compliance with NEC, utility, and cybersecurity standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field (required).
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in technical sales, applications engineering, or field engineering within EVSE, solar, or battery systems.
- Industry Fit: Background in solar + battery systems required; residential or commercial experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and technical presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in CAD and CRM tools.
- Knowledge of bidirectional charging (ISO 15118), energy storage, and interconnection standards.
- Certifications: NABCEP, EVITP, or similar (preferred).
