We have been licensing Kraken for over 4 years, transforming businesses by not only moving their customer base to our Kraken platform but also changing their operating model & ways of working. This is a high-profile, senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, development, and delivery of our Residential Flexibility portfolio across North America. The individual will serve as both the face of the practice and the delivery leader, bridging the gap between high-level client strategy and technical execution.


The Regional Practice Lead will manage and coach a growing internal team of Client Delivery Leads while maintaining a detailed, hands-on understanding of complex work streams and project dependencies. A key function is acting as the primary liaison between major clients and Kraken's product, technology, and operational teams. This requires deep technical and domain expertise to translate client needs, request new development, refine scalable solutions, and ensure successful client adoption of ways of working aligned with the Kraken platform.


What you'll do:
  • You will be managing a team of Client Delivery Leads
  • You will be managing the relationship with client counterparts (often product owners and business owners)
  • You will be overseeing and influencing the delivery strategy for Residential Flexibility in North America
  • You will be overseeing the tech development progress, escalations and resolutions with clients
  • You will be the link into the wider Kraken ecosystem, hold relationships and understand how Kraken works in relation to the Residential Flexibility product
  • You will determine and communicate client priorities internally
  • Summarising and articulating client needs, considerations, timelines internally to enable the ongoing development of the Kraken platform
  • Supporting the engineering team to deliver product features
  • Challenging the client to think differently about tech development, having full belief in the continuous iteration and deployment approach we have

This is a hands-on position with a regional delivery team working within the wider Kraken ecosystem. The expectation is to remain close to client as well as internal teams, and be well versed in the complexity and detail of the product. The role is North America based and your projects could be run from any state, travel is expected as part of this role.

What you'll need:
  • Experience in a regulated utilities environment
  • Strong agile delivery experience
  • Experience of product management and customer journeys
  • Solid understanding of technology and associated trends
  • Excellent communications, collaboration and presentation skills
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to challenge traditional ways of thinking
  • Experience of working with significant complex delivery pipelines for clients
  • Patience - our clients are undergoing huge transformations that take time and require our understanding 
  • Residential flexibility experience is a plus
  • Consulting experience is a plus
  • Regulatory compliance experience is a plus
  • We will be launching a new office in NYCand will need you to be onsite 3+ days a week. There will also be travel to client sites across the country at regular intervals. 


Experience / Qualifications needed:
  • Technical mindset, experience in the energy supply sector and with customer journeys
  • Degree qualified equivalent, with strong client delivery and/or product ownership experience
  • Experience in client facing roles and stakeholder management
  • Experience in managing technical product or projects
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills 
  • Proficient in tools such as miro and office suite

  • The salary range for this role in NYC ranges on average from $150,000-$220,000 depending on relevant experience, role alignment, and technical/client management expertise demonstrated throughout the interview process. While the broad salary range is listed, not all candidates will be placed at the top of the range—this will be determined by the overall fit for the position.
