We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, Sustainability – ESG Process POD
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
This role supports the setup of the ESG Process POD by helping setup, operationalize and scale sustainability and responsible sourcing activities through structured demand intake, prioritization support, data gathering, validation, reporting assistance, supplier engagement, and process tracking. We are looking for a sustainability-minded analyst with strong business understanding, good analytical skills, and the ability to translate global and zonal ESG requirements into practical execution priorities. The role will initially focus on global priority items and the first critical tasks required to establish a scalable ESG execution capability.
Responsibilities
5+ years of experience in Sustainability, ESG, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Operations, Reporting, Risk, Compliance, or related analytical roles Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Data Analytics, Finance, Environmental Management, or a related discipline. Strong business understanding and ability to connect operational tasks to broader sustainability, procurement, reporting, and compliance priorities. Ability to structure ambiguous requests, identify dependencies, assess priority, and translate business needs into concrete execution steps. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Monday.com, Aravo, SAP, Ariba, or ESG reporting tools is an added advantage. Experience working with global stakeholders, cross-functional teams, suppliers, or external partners across different regions and time zones. Self-motivated with strong ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and ability to progress work independently while escalating risks or blockers early. Good communication skills, with the ability to summarize status, decisions, trade-offs, and risks clearly for both operational teams and leadership stakeholders. Comfortable working in a fast-moving setup phase, balancing hands-on execution with process building, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Support the ESG Process POD launch by coordinating intake of global and zonal sustainability requests and helping structure them into clear, actionable work items
- Assist with prioritization of ESG operational requests using agreed criteria such as strategic alignment, business value, operational scalability, standardization potential, feasibility, capacity, timing, and regulatory or reporting urgency
- Pick up initial execution activities across sustainability data gathering, validation, evidence tracking, supplier follow-up, and reporting support
- Support CDP, CSRD readiness, internal ESG reporting, KPI tie-outs, and quarterly sustainability update templates by collecting inputs, validating completeness, and tracking open actions
- Coordinate supplier engagement activities, including outreach tracking, reminder follow-up, document review, basic data quality checks, and consolidation of supplier responses
- Support operational processes and tools such as sustainability mailbox management, Aravo task support, request tracking, status reporting, and documentation follow-up
- Build and maintain trackers, dashboards, and status updates that provide visibility on request pipeline, execution progress, bottlenecks, risks, and resource needs
- Develop and document repeatable ways of working, templates, SOPs, handover materials, and process controls to enable future scale-up of the ESG Process POD
- Partner with Sustainability, Procurement, GBS, zones, and data teams to clarify requirements, align priorities, escalate blockers, and ensure final business or SME sign-off remains with the appropriate owners
