WWF-Singapore, part of one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation organizations, is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization through its next phase of growth, impact and organizational renewal. Operating as both a national office and an Asia Pacific hub, WWF-Singapore works with government, businesses, civil society, academia and communities to address climate change, biodiversity loss, sustainable finance and other critical environmental challenges.


This is an opportunity for an exceptional individual who can bridge conservation mission with business discipline, build high-performing teams, and position Singapore as a leading hub for conservation leadership and sustainable finance. The CEO will have the mandate to shape WWF-Singapore’s strategic direction, deepen its influence in the region and scale its contribution to global climate and biodiversity goals.


The CEO priority areas include:


  • Strategic Positioning – Lead WWF-Singapore’s long-term strategy and Singapore’s national sustainability agenda; position WWF-Singapore as a leading hub for conservation leadership, sustainable finance and environmental innovation in the region.
  • Organizational Excellence and Innovation – Enhance clarity, accountability, collaboration and performance across the organization; strengthen governance, decision-making and core systems to support scalable, data-informed operations.
  • Stakeholder Relationships & Funding – Build and deepen strategic partnerships with government, corporates, donors, foundations and financial institutions; diversify and grow sustainable funding across individual, corporate, philanthropy and innovative finance.
  • People, Culture & Leadership – Lead a multi-disciplinary team; foster a high-trust, inclusive and collaborative culture; develop and empower a strong Senior Management Team with clear leadership standards and a shared commitment to WWF’s mission.


We are seeking a seasoned enterprise leader matching the following attributes:


Experience & Track Record

  • Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in complex, multi-disciplinary organizations or teams, and scaling organizational impact
  • Experience in sustainability, conservation, climate, biodiversity, or related environmental sectors across public, private, or nonprofit settings is advantageous but not essential. Suitable backgrounds include senior roles in NGOs, corporate sustainability or ESG functions, government agencies, sustainability consulting, or purpose-driven organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in resource mobilization and partnership-driven funding.


Critical Leadership Experiences

  • Ability to lead credibly across multi-sector stakeholders to advance conservation and funding goals.
  • Representing purpose-driven or reputationally visible organizations at senior levels.


Leadership Capabilities & Mindsets

  • Strong business insight and comfort with complexity.
  • Ability to inspire, build and lead teams with a strong culture of ownership and accountability.
