Job Description
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Develop project plans, work schedules, and implementation strategies.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to donor requirements.
- Coordinate field activities across multiple locations.
- Manage project risks and resolve implementation challenges.
2. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor field coordinators, technical experts, and project staff.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Organize training and capacity-building programs.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Build relationships with government departments, local communities, CSR partners, donors, consultants, and research institutions.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
- Represent the NGO in external forums and partnerships.
4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Track project outcomes and environmental impact indicators.
- Prepare donor reports, progress reports, and presentations.
- Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with grant and regulatory requirements.
5. Financial & Budget Management
- Manage project budgets and expenditures.
- Monitor fund utilization and ensure financial compliance.
- Support fundraising and proposal development when required.
Common Qualification Requirements
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Climate Change, Sustainability, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, Rural Development, or related fields.
- Typically 5–15 years of experience depending on the seniority of the role.
- Experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.
- Strong report writing, communication, and data analysis skills.
