JOIN A UK VENTURE TRANSFORMING CIRCULARITY IN CONSTRUCTION

We’re building a circular economy platform tackling one of the UK’s biggest environmental and economic problems: construction waste.

Construction generates over 60% of UK waste, costing contractors millions every year and driving huge carbon impacts. Perfectly reusable materials are thrown away, asset information is lost, and sites lack the tools to prevent waste or enable reuse at scale.

We’re fixing that.

Kólé is building the UK’s first end-to-end construction materials reuse and waste-prevention platform, helping contractors, developers, councils, and housing associations reuse more, waste less, and save money.

We combine site-based assessment, digital material passports, a reuse marketplace, and logistics coordination — all aligned with PAS 2080, ISO 14021, circular procurement, and the UK’s net-zero targets.

We’re in the early stages of piloting with Birmingham City Council’s Route to Net Zero team and commercial contractors in the Midlands.

Now we’re looking for a true co-founder to build this with us from the ground up and scale it into a UK-wide circular construction infrastructure.

HOW WE THINK

Circularity won’t scale through reports, audits, or one-off waste studies. It scales through software, workflow automation, behaviour change, and design for reuse.

We ship fast, test on real construction sites, and build with end users.

You will be building a brand and product that sits at the intersection of circular economy, construction, sustainability, and operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

This is a real founder role, not a functional marketing job.

You will own how this product enters and scales in the UK construction ecosystem.

You will:

• Own all growth and GTM work across contractors, developers, councils, and sustainability teams.
• Build the playbooks for site onboarding, reuse listings, marketplace activation, and pilot scaling.
• Shape Kólé’s brand into the leading voice for circular construction in the UK.
• Develop campaigns targeting commercial contractors, main contractors, and SME builders.
• Lead testing across messaging, landing pages, offers, and pilot structures.
• Build strong relationships with councils, Tier 1–3 contractors, and sustainability leaders.
• Create case studies, data stories, and ROI narratives that drive procurement decisions.
• Manage growth experiments across content, events, partnerships, BD, and digital channels.
• Build and lead a lean growth team that operates with speed, curiosity, and creativity.

WHO YOU ARE

You’re excited about climate tech, circularity, and changing how buildings are delivered. You’re hands-on, resourceful, and thrive in ambiguous zero-to-one environments.

You bring:

• Experience in growth, partnerships, marketing, community, or GTM in startups.
• Bonus if you’ve worked in construction tech, climate tech, proptech, or marketplaces.
• Ability to translate sustainability into commercial value and clear messaging.
• Strong storytelling instincts — you can turn data and workflows into compelling narratives.
• Fast decision-making, high ownership, and comfort operating without playbooks.
• A founder mindset: bias for action, speed, and using AI to get more done with less.
• Fluent English.
• Based in the UK.
• Deep interest in net-zero, circular construction, materials reuse, and real-world impact.

From pilot structures to customer acquisition and marketplace activation, your work will directly influence how the UK construction sector prevents waste, reuses materials, and transitions to low-carbon delivery.

We offer a significant equity stake that reflects your contribution as a true founding team member. Salary will be aligned with our current fundraising efforts over the next 6 months, with the clear intention to transition into a competitive package post-raise.
