Senior Client and Commercial Lead, Carbon Removal
Your mission
As our new Senior Client and Commercial Lead, you will own complex, end-to-end sales processes for Klimate's carbon removal solutions, building a qualified pipeline and serving as an independent advisor to senior client stakeholders, as we expand across the Nordics, the UK and beyond. Your role is to build new opportunities, manage client relationships, and serve clients' needs across their entire full-service journey.
You will sit within the Commercial team and report directly to Eva, our VP of Strategy.
About Klimate
At Klimate, we enable companies pursuing real climate action to take responsibility for their emissions. The world talks a lot about net-zero, but most companies struggle to know what to do once CO₂ reductions are no longer enough. That’s where we come in! We are a science-led business with real experts guiding companies through the world of carbon removal and how they can safely invest in taking CO₂ out of the atmosphere. Our solution combines expertise, guidance and software to help companies understand what’s real, what works, what it costs, and how to do it credibly.
Founded in 2020, we are a tight-knit team united by a passion for scaling solutions to the climate crisis. We move quickly when it matters and focus on sharing ownership along the way. Besides working in teams, we enable that ownership in squads, making it possible for all employees to lead areas they are passionate about. We value deep collaboration and working side-by-side in our central Copenhagen office, from where we support leading clients including Storebrand, Nykredit, Dalberg, OC&C, and many others.
You can get to know us a bit better on our website or on LinkedIn.
What you'll do
In the first 3–6 months, you will:
- Become fluent in articulating Klimate's solutions and value propositions, confidently adjusting messaging for both existing clients and prospects based on their specific pain points
- Start engaging with clients and prospects, including initiating first client conversations to introduce Klimate's solutions, and start building your client pipeline with a focus on generating early-stage leads and identifying promising opportunities for the commercial team
- Start owning core sales process hygiene, e.g. pipeline management and forecasting inputs, and develop relationships with key teams (marketing, markets, product, supply, etc.) to understand how they support GTM efforts
- Get out in the field along with the team: we attend and host events regularly, both at home and across markets
As you grow into the role, you will:
- Take full ownership of key strategic accounts in your Book of Business, from first conversation to signed contract, ensuring you have a clear view of the path to target for the fiscal year and driving the sales process while positioning Klimate as a full-service CDR partner
- Help shape and implement the GTM strategy based on your observations and experiences of Klimate's product-market fit and shifts in market trends and policy
- Develop a deep understanding of client needs, breaking down complex problems and translating prospecting work into structured decks and strategic narratives - this is a role with a strong strategy dimension, not just sales execution
- Act as a sparring partner for sales peers on deal management and outreach strategy (e.g. messaging, sequencing, and next-step planning)
