Our mission is to satisfy the fundamental need to monitor atmospheric properties related to climate change, classical meteorology, agriculture, renewable energy and the available water budget.


The opportunity:


Reporting directly to the VP of R&D, you will lead our solar technology development efforts, driving innovation and guiding a talented team of 10 engineers and scientists. This role combines team leadership with project management, ensuring that new concepts move efficiently from idea to proof of concept and into product development. This role is based in Delft, where our factory and production operations are located. It is a full‑time, onsite position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday).


In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Lead and mentor the R&D team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Partner with product management to shape new product concepts aligned with customer needs
  • Manage technology projects from conception to proof of concept, ensuring feasibility, quality, and cost targets
  • Drive cross‑functional development activities and maintain project schedules and budgets
  • Present progress and insights to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic goals


The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field
  • 5+ years in electromechanical product development, engineering, or research (3+ in direct product development)
  • Strong leadership and project management skills (PMP a plus)
  • Broad understanding of design, manufacturing, and product use
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage
