Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
Mechanical Engineer
Location: Fairfax Virginia
We’re looking for Mechanical Engineers in the DMV region who want more than just design work. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects, build client relationships, and grow into a leadership role, while working on some of the most impactful high-performance building projects in the U.S.
Why Join?
If you’ve ever felt boxed in at a large firm, undervalued despite your skillset, or stuck at a smaller firm without the projects or resources to really push your career forward—this role is your next step.
Here, you’ll be trusted to grow quickly: shadow senior engineers, learn the ropes, then take the lead on projects yourself. Your career progression is based on performance, not titles.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver mechanical systems from concept through construction.
Go beyond drawings, own projects through execution, including design-build.
Collaborate directly with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
Solve challenges and drive strategic decisions, not just calculations.
Contribute to sustainable, high-performance projects that make a difference in communities.
Experience Desired
Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (or related).
3–4+ years of HVAC/mechanical design experience (MEP background strongly preferred).
EIT certification (PE is a plus).
Skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, Trane Trace, IES VE, Navisworks, and MS Office.
Strong communicator who thrives in client-facing situations.
Passion for sustainability, innovation, and growth.
Bonus Points
LEED AP, CEM, or other green building certifications.
Plumbing/fire protection design experience.
Familiarity with design-build procurement.
What’s In It For You
Career growth: Pathway from Mechanical Engineer to Project Manager.
Impact: Work on projects that shape smarter, healthier, energy-efficient buildings.
Balance: The stability of a larger platform with the agility of a growth-focused team.
