Data & Business Intelligence Analyst (Sustainability)

We are seeking a Data & Business Intelligence Analyst (Sustainability) to join Kingspan Group’s Sustainability, Digital and Marketing function.
This role will automate reporting, strengthen environmental data analysis, develop AI-enabled solutions and generate actionable insights to improve business efficiency. It will reduce manual data handling while enhancing the quality, traceability and usefulness of sustainability data. The role will also support strategic sustainability programmes, including supply chain and circular economy initiatives.
The Data & Business Intelligence Analyst (Sustainability) will be responsible for conducting the detailed modelling, automation and analysis of sustainability information to support strategic decision-making, internal performance management and external reporting requirements. The role will collaborate with Digital and Marketing colleagues to integrate datasets, create combined tools and generate insights.
- Lead the connection, transformation, validation and integration of environmental and business data across operations, supply chains and circular economy programmes, ensuring datasets are complete, consistent and audit ready.
- Establish and maintain data governance standards including for ownership, approvals, definitions, traceability, version control and documentation.
- Develop automated workflows, notebooks, pipelines, quality checks and exception reporting to reduce manual effort and improve reporting accuracy.
- Apply analytical and statistical techniques to identify trends, anomalies, risks and improvement opportunities in raw material and environmental data.
- Develop and continuously improve Power BI dashboards, management reports and external disclosures, including CSRD, CDP and Planet Passionate.
- Translate complex data into clear, decision-ready insights, forecasts and recommendations for Group, divisional and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Model scenarios to meet targets, assessing opportunities across resource efficiency, renewable energy, process optimisation and supply chains.
- Deliver the Sustainability AI roadmap by developing practical solutions for reporting, forecasting, project tracking and insight generation in collaboration with digital and cross-functional teams.
- Evaluate applications of new and existing digital technologies, including AI that can improve environmental data accuracy, granularity and monitoring.
- Collaborate with Group IT and digital teams to ensure robust data architecture, access controls and cybersecurity, and support one source of truth for sustainability data.
- Engage divisional and functional stakeholders to improve data coverage, completeness and quality, strengthening audit readiness.
- Undergraduate or master’s degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science, sustainability, engineering, AI or a related discipline.
- Typically, 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business, Information Systems, Computer Science, engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Data Modelling, DAX, SQL, Power Query, APIs, Microsoft Fabric, KPI Design and Data Governance.
- Experience with Python, Azure Data Platform, Machine Learning concepts, Copilot Studio, Power Platform or equivalent data engineering tools is desirable.
- Ability to interpret environmental data, including carbon emissions, energy, waste, water and resource use, to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement and meet reporting requirements.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical data into clear business insight.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and capacity to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Analytical thinking, workshop facilitation, problem solving, requirements gathering and change management.
