Job Overview

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking an experienced Nuclear Mechanical Engineer - Lead to join our team in Lenexa, KS, or Oak Ridge, TN. Responsibilities
  • Perform integrated engineering processes to meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Design, review, and approve specifications, drawings, and analyses in compliance with standards.
  • Develop design concepts for equipment using input from technical disciplines.
  • Identify, define, and resolve engineering problems.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and timely delivery.
  • Travel less than 20% of the time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university.
  • At least five years of design experience.
  • Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce error-free documents.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with engineering design practices (interference checks, GD&T, etc.).
  • Experience with industry codes and working with engineers and fabricators.
  • Experience in preparing P&ID, PFD, and general arrangement drawings for equipment packages.
