Position Overview

This role involves teaching, research, and academic leadership in the domain of Sustainability Management. The faculty member will design and deliver courses, mentor students, collaborate with industry and community partners, and contribute to strengthening KCT Business School’s positioning as a centre of excellence for sustainable business practices.


Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality classroom and experiential learning sessions across Sustainability, ESG, Environmental Economics, Responsible Leadership, and related subjects.
  • Develop course plans, assessments, case studies, and learning resources aligned with programme outcomes.
  • Guide student projects, dissertations, fieldwork, and sustainability-focused industry/live projects.
  • Lead or contribute to research, publications, and funded projects in sustainability, climate action, social impact, or green innovation.
  • Build partnerships with industry, NGOs, government bodies, and sustainability networks for collaborative learning and outreach.
  • Mentor students on career pathways in sustainability, CSR, ESG reporting, and impact consulting.
  • Organise or support events such as sustainability conclaves, community development initiatives, guest lectures, and workshops.
  • Participate in curriculum enhancement, accreditation processes, and academic quality assurance.
  • Contribute to institutional committees and cross-functional academic initiatives.
  • Stay updated with global sustainability trends, regulations, and emerging practices to ensure curriculum relevance.


Job Specifications

Vital

  • Master’s degree in Management with specialisation/expertise in Sustainability, Environmental Management, ESG, CSR, or related domains.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of sustainability frameworks, policies, and industry practices.
  • Ability to teach core and elective courses within the MBA (Sustainability Management) programme.
  • Experience in handling case-based, experiential, and project-driven pedagogy.

Essential

  • Minimum 2–5 years of academic or relevant industry experience in sustainability, CSR, ESG consulting, or environmental sectors.
  • Proven ability to guide student projects and deliver outcome-oriented learning.
  • Strong communication, classroom engagement skills, and student mentoring capability.
  • Research inclination with evidence of publications, conference papers, or ongoing projects.

Desirable

  • PhD/Doctoral progress in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Social Impact, or related areas.
  • Industry exposure through consulting, field research, or collaborations with sustainability-focused organisations.
  • Certifications such as GRI, ESG Reporting, Environmental Audit, Sustainable Business Strategy, etc.
  • Experience in curriculum design, accreditation, or community development initiatives.
  • Participation in sustainability networks, forums, or international programmes.
