Kaluza AI Labs Intern Programme: Engineering (Flex)
What Is It
Kaluza AI Labs is a targeted 8-10-week summer internship programme. The programme will bring 1-2 high-potential AI and technical students into Kaluza's Engineering Team. This is not a traditional internship, but rather a two-way innovation exchange. Students will work on live, high-impact problems, while Kaluza learns how to operate as a truly AI-native organisation from the people building the future of it.
The Opportunity: Shape the Future of Climate Tech
Kaluza sits at the intersection of energy and technology. As electrification accelerates, the platforms managing flexibility and infrastructure are becoming critical. The intelligence layer running these platforms will define who wins the energy transition.
For the best technical minds graduating today, impact isn't a bonus—it’s the baseline. If you want your work to genuinely matter, the energy transition sits squarely at the top of that list. Kaluza is where that work happens, and we need AI-native thinking to achieve our vision.
What’s In It For You?
You will embed within our Flex organisation, where Kaluza builds advanced energy optimisation and flexibility capabilities. Projects focus on data science and machine learning initiatives, such as:
We value a bias for action. We want self-starters who would rather build something scrappy and highly useful today than spend weeks over-architecting something that never ships.
Here at Kaluza we have five core values that guide us as a business: Play to win, Solve the real problem, Build trust every day, Own the outcome, Go further together.
Our Perks
We’re keen to meet people from all walks of life — our view is that the more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. We want to build teams which represent a variety of experiences, perspectives and skills, and we recognise talent on the basis of merit and potential.
We understand some people may not apply for jobs unless they tick every box. But if you're excited about joining us and think you have some of what we're looking for, even if you're not 100% sure, we'd still love to hear from you.
