What will I be doing?

As a Pre-Sales Solution Architect, you’ll sit at the intersection of technology and commercial strategy, shaping how prospective clients understand, adopt, and succeed with the Kaluza platform.

Working closely with Pre-Sales Consultants, you’ll lead the technical aspects of sales engagements — from running deep-dive sessions on architecture and data models, through solution design, to handing off to implementation teams during the contracting phase. Your primary focus will be designing each client’s “to-be” architecture and defining integration patterns, ensuring solutions meet business requirements while making the best use of Kaluza’s current and planned capabilities.

No two engagements are the same. You may support early-stage prototypes, present at client sites, or advise our Product Architecture team on emerging market needs and common integration patterns. This is a varied, high-impact role that will stretch your technical expertise, client management skills, and platform knowledge in equal measure.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Discovery & Solution Design:

  • Lead discovery workshops to understand current and target technical architectures
  • Translate complex requirements into solution designs that maximise client value and enable successful implementation
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s technical landscape and transformation goals to design optimal “to-be” architectures
  • Estimate work packages to set implementation programmes up for success

Tender & Proposal Excellence:

  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to evolve base solution architectures and deliver compelling technical presentations
  • Provide key technical input into tender responses and customer proposals
  • Partner with Pre-Sales Engineering to shape and design proof-of-concept exercises
  • Travel to client sites across the UK, Europe, and beyond as required

Product Advocacy:

  • Act as a bridge between market demand and Kaluza’s engineering teams, ensuring client needs are reflected in the roadmap
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with core platform capabilities and strategic direction

Measurable Outcomes:

  • Advise clients on achieving measurable business outcomes through a data-driven approach
  • Support commercial conversations by helping quantify the value of the platform

About You

You’re a technologist with a strong focus on business outcomes who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. You’re comfortable running deep technical sessions with architects while also articulating a clear strategic vision to C-suite stakeholders.

Ideally you'll have/be:

  • Exceptional Communicator: Able to distil complex concepts into clear, persuasive messages for a wide range of stakeholders
  • Technical Experience: Experience building and architecting systems, including some of:

  • Industry Expertise: Experience working within regulated energy retailers, particularly across billing, metering, and settlements systems

What will set you apart:
