A growing sustainable energy organization is partnering with JustinBradley in their search for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for their DC area-based office. This organizations mission is to develop zero-carbon energy solutions and deploy solar technology around the world. The CFO will use their prior experience of transitioning a company from start-up to fast-growing company to drive financial and strategic decisions and fuel this rapidly growing organization. The CFO will work with the CEO to identify and build strong relationships with investors and potential investors. This position will oversee all aspects of the companys global financial processes, including project finance, valuation, M&A tax, insurance, and reporting. The CFO will partner closely with and report to the CEO to build the financial engine that will grow this innovative technology to global scale and impact.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited *
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions through an external accounting team and build team structure to accommodate the companys growth
  • Lead full cycle of capital raising efforts including developing contacts, modelling, developing materials and data room management
  • Prepare financial reports and complete audits in time for statutory book closing occur in accordance with GAAP, IFRS and/or other applicable standards
  • Partner with and advise CEO on business strategy including funding and M&A activities to drive global company growth
  • Monitor and manage cash requirements, including establishing programs for the provision of capital required by the company
  • Attend roadshows with the CEO to communicate and market technology to investors, financial institutions, and future shareholders
Highlighted *
  • A Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant financial experience
  • Experience leading overall accounting, project finance and investor relations for a global company
  • Experience leading capital raising efforts
  • Experience with start-up and rapid growth companies
  • Experience within renewable energy, utilities, or energy transition markets
  • Experience leading work on multiple continents and with multi-cultural teams
