We are seeking an Associate, Project Finance and Capital Markets to join our Project Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining financial models and analyzing assets at all stages of development. You will be a key member of deal teams raising capital through project financing and other corporate capital raises. The role offers hands-on exposure to battery storage project finance, including debt and tax equity, and requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

This is an execution-oriented role, and you will thrive if you are detail oriented, skillful at collaborating cross-functionally, have strong communication skills, and are able to operate effectively in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.

This role will be based out of our Austin or Chicago office and is subject to our Company's return-to-office policy which currently requires a minimum of three days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain project-level financial models for utility-scale battery storage assets at all stages of development, construction, and operations. Run scenario analysis and summarize results in reports to management.
  • Support the execution of project finance debt, tax equity, and structured equity transactions, including maintaining data rooms, managing due diligence processes, and coordinating with external parties
  • Support review of financing documents, including credit agreements, tax equity documents, and hedging arrangements
  • Prepare financial information for company reporting packages and in support of investment decisions
  • Assist in evaluating portfolio-level financing strategies, including warehouse facilities, holdco debt, revolvers, and corporate capital raises
  • Work closely and collaboratively across the organization to efficiently and effectively prepare for and execute on financing transactions
  • Assist with commercial and financial analysis of power purchase agreements, tolling agreements, merchant revenue opportunities, and other ad-hoc analysis of development assets

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 13 years of experience in project finance, infrastructure investing, renewable energy, investment banking, private equity, or advisory
  • Strong financial modeling skills in Excel
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with utility-scale renewable energy or battery storage projects
  • Familiarity with project finance debt, tax equity, or structured infrastructure investments
  • Experience reviewing financing documentation or supporting transaction closings
