What You Will Do Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Diagnose and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Respond to basic warranty calls. Provide customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service‐related items. Act as a trusted advisor, delivering solutions and outcomes at the time of service. How You Will Do It Load system‐level controller software. Perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system‐level controllers to end devices (e.g., sensors, actuators) and complete all required commissioning documentation. Keep management and the JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment. Complete administrative tasks including time sheets, expense reports, and on‐site documentation. Document changes and provide information for as‐built documentation. Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training; uphold a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility runs efficiently, including upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions. Requirements Vocational school four‐year program or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field plus three years of industry experience (or one year of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry). Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques. Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts ethically and professionally. Ability to explain technical information to technical and non‐technical people; leadership skills to support mechanics on non‐critical Building Automation equipment. PC experience required and ability to program HVAC‐related software. Hourly rate ranges from $21 to $30, depending on education, experience, skill, and market data.
