- Develop Python or Java-based services and applications that power our enterprise infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones to support both internal and external users.
- Build scalable systems that bridge high-level business logic with time-series production data and hardware.
- Tackle diverse technical challenges—from optimizing engineering workflows to integrating with modern manufacturing equipment.

- A degree in (business) informatics, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advanced, hands-on experience with Python or Java.
- Solid understanding and practical use of Docker—you know how to containerize like a pro.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and how to build clean, scalable web services.
- Deep experience with event-driven architecture—ideally using tools like Kafka to keep systems talking smoothly
- Working proficiency with GitHub-based CI/CD workflows
- Proficient in databases such as PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB
- Familiarity with various file systems or cloud storage platforms
- Comfortable working independently in globally distributed teams
- Experienced in agile development and fast-paced project environments
- Background in production or manufacturing settings is a big plus

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay, bonus, and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $132,200 - $197,900/year. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
