Overview

The ideal candidate will have high level financial modeling skills, a firm understanding of finance and accounting concepts, superb analytical abilities, excellent customer service skills and a veracious appetite for learning and improvement. The ideal candidate is an effective presenter and can balance getting the details right while moving quickly in a results-driven environment. Over time, this candidate must have the capability and flexibility to provide financial support across various finance roles including our manufacturing operations, R&D or in developing our future airline business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the cost accounting for our US based manufacturing operations
  • Produce and thoroughly understand financial performance reports covering manufacturing, production, and inventory
  • Communicate results of analysis and key insights in a concise and accessible manner to non-finance personnel and the management team
  • Implement improvements through our ERP and related systems
  • Identify and implement cost reductions in partnership with the operations
  • Create and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision making
  • Understand high-mix discrete inventory and evaluate performance metrics related to inventory and production
  • Constantly improve everything and help make the business stronger
  • Sox / internal control

Required

  • 5+ year’s experience in a manufacturing organization
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Data Science (with an emphasis on Finance)
  • Knowledge and experience of cost accounting, product costing, and manufacturing finance
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies, Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional organization skills and an impeccable attention to detail
  • A drive to overcome any barriers to get the job done
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills

Desired

  • CPA or CMA designation
  • Experience with FP&A tools (Hyperion, OneStream, Vena)

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $88,400 - $148,600/yr. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
