This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a rapidly growing company in the energy industry. This role will be primarily remote, but candidates must be located in the Eastern or Mountain Standard Time zones. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and administering contracts for our commercial solar projects. They will play a critical role in ensuring project success by managing risks, maintaining compliance, and facilitating smooth contract execution. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial solar projects, EPC contracts, legal requirements, risk mitigation strategies, tax credit compliance, and battery storage systems. - Oversee and manage all aspects of contract administration for commercial solar projects.
- Review, negotiate, and administer EPC contracts, ensuring they meet company standards and legal requirements.
- Identify, assess, and manage potential risks associated with contracts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax credit requirements.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure contracts are executed smoothly and efficiently.
- Develop and implement contract management processes and procedures.
- Provide guidance and advice to project teams on contract-related issues.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, and legal counsel.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations related to commercial solar projects.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration, preferably in the commercial solar industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field.
- Experience with EPC contracts, risk mitigation strategies, and legal requirements related to commercial solar projects.
- Knowledge of tax credit compliance and battery storage systems.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex contracts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, while maintaining strong communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations.
