Director – Cross‑Regional Power and Renewables Research Lead
The Team: The Global Power & Renewables Research team analyzes market and policy developments in the power and renewable sector worldwide. The Impact: As the lead for cross‑regional research initiatives, your work will shape investment strategies and reinforce S&P Global Commodity Insights' position as a leader in power market insights and data‑driven solutions. The role encompasses research production, team collaboration and commercial support. Research topics include policy analysis, regulatory frameworks, market reforms, emerging trends, supply/demand/price forecasts and analytics worldwide or across multiple regions. You will collaborate with internal teams to enhance brand recognition and maximize commercial value.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate cross‑regional research initiatives to develop high‑impact reports that inform investment decisions.
- Act as a spokesperson and thought leader representing S&P Global Commodity Insights at industry conferences, media engagements and client meetings.
- Drive adoption of innovative research methodologies and tools that improve quality, efficiency and impact of outputs.
- Mentor and work with a high‑performing team of analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning and innovation.

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Energy, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in energy research, with a focus on power and renewables.
- Proven thought leadership in energy and power market and policy analysis.
- Proven experience managing cross‑regional research projects and teams, with or without direct supervisory responsibility.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a track record of producing impactful research.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Effective interpersonal skills to enable communication and collaboration with colleagues and clients.
- Aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing global environment.
Compensation and Benefits (US Applicants Only)
