Imagine leading a dynamic hospitality operation surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, cascading waterfalls, and more than 500 miles of scenic trails. At Shenandoah Hospitality, the General Manager leads a multi-site operation spanning more than 60 miles along Skyline Drive, encompassing lodges, cabin accommodations, full-service restaurants, quick service outlets, retail operations, and campgrounds.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a visionary leader to develop an exceptional team, build strong partnerships, and create amazing experiences for the millions of visitors who come to Shenandoah National Park each year. In addition to managing a diverse portfolio, you will partner closely with the National Park Service to meet concession standards and shared guest experience goals.

Some Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the overall performance of a complex, high-volume, multi-revenue-stream operation, ensuring alignment across all departments and business lines.
- Build and maintain a strong, proactive relationship with the Partner Agency, serving as the primary liaison and ensuring consistent communication regarding operational priorities, contractual requirements, performance, and guest experience.
- Champion a customer- and guest-focused culture, ensuring exceptional service, quality, and experiences that meet or exceed expectations.
- Execute Company strategies, policies, and programs that drive service, safety, environmental stewardship, guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and financial performance.
- Lead, develop, and mentor departmental managers, fostering accountability, collaboration, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash handling, profitability, and identification of revenue and cost opportunities.
- Oversee human resources, employee housing, recruitment, training, development, employee relations, and compliance with applicable labor requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Partner Agency contracts, Company policies, and all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
- Serve as the Responsible Safety Officer (RSO), overseeing safety, risk management, emergency response, security, and the well-being of employees and guests.
- Oversee quality, environmental, asset management, and operational standards, including compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001 requirements.
- Provide leadership for marketing, sales, community relations, and initiatives that strengthen the destination and enhance the guest experience.
- Identify operational challenges and opportunities, proactively developing solutions and partnering with Corporate and departmental leadership to drive results.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of progressive hospitality leadership experience in a complex, multi-unit environment.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, fiscal management, and revenue enhancement.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to identifying solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, changing environment and perform independently with minimal direction.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical judgment.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS systems.
