Senior Project Manager (Client: ) [Location: California]

Job Description

  • Lead the end-to-end IEE/MDMS implementation, including Plan & Analyze, Design, Build, Test, Cutover, and Stabilization/Hypercare phases.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated detailed project plan, including milestones, deliverables, resources, dependencies, constraints, baseline dates, and critical path.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, actions, and change control.
  • Coordinate across customer stakeholders, product/R&D teams, solution architects, integration teams, testing teams, and other AMI program providers.
  • Drive IEE integrations with utility enterprise and AMI systems, including head-end, billing, outage, data, identity/security and other downstream/upstream platforms. The current SCE implementation scope includes integrations across MDMS, SAP, Snowflake, AMI head-end systems, UMHES, OMS/ADMS, identity services, field tools, and other systems.
  • Manage functional/technical design, configuration, data migration/conversion, testing, defect resolution, operational readiness, cutover, and production stabilization.
  • Track deliverables and milestone acceptance and provide regular executive/customer status reporting.
  • Facilitate governance meetings, workshops, status reviews, RAID reviews, and executive updates.
  • Ensure effective transition to production support, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live stabilization.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Able to work 2 days a week from Rosemead, CA office.
  • 10+ years of project/program management experience in utility technology implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale AMI and/or MDMS implementations.
  • Understanding of AMI architecture, meter-to-cash processes, VEE, interval data, billing determinants, meter events, data conversion, and MDMS integrations.
  • Experience managing system integration, SIT/UAT, performance testing, cutover, production readiness, and Hypercare.
  • Proven ability to manage complex multi-vendor and cross-functional utility programs.
  • Strong project planning, RAID management, change control, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.

Desired:

  • PMP or equivalent project/program management certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Itron Enterprise Edition (IEE/IEE MDM).
