You will lead Net Zero Carbon assessments, energy audits, and retrofit strategies that directly shape how organizations reduce emissions and improve building performance. Working closely with clients, you will translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable roadmaps for sustainability transformation. Accountabilities
You will lead and coordinate end-to-end decarbonization and energy optimization projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction across all engagements:
- Conduct Net Zero Carbon assessments, energy audits, and retro-commissioning activities across commercial and institutional buildings
- Develop portfolio-level and asset-level decarbonization strategies and implementation roadmaps
- Identify and evaluate energy efficiency opportunities, including HVAC, BAS systems, and low/no-cost optimization measures
- Prepare clear, client-ready reports and presentations translating technical findings into actionable recommendations
- Conduct site visits across Canada (and occasionally internationally) to perform audits and validate building performance
- Manage client relationships, support business development, and ensure alignment between project outcomes and sustainability goals
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design, evaluate, and implement sustainable building solutions
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in energy systems, sustainability, and building performance, along with excellent consulting and client management skills:
- 5+ years of experience in energy auditing, retro-commissioning, or Net Zero Carbon strategy development
- Degree in Engineering, Building Sciences, Architecture, or a related technical field
- Professional designation such as P.Eng and/or C.E.M. required
- Experience with energy modeling tools (e.g., RETScreen) considered an asset
- Familiarity with certifications such as LEED AP, WELL AP, or ASHRAE credentials is an advantage
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building automation systems, and energy performance optimization
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, travel to sites, and work in a client-facing consulting environment
- Competitive annual salary range of approximately 110,000 - 130,000 CAD
