This role is a unique opportunity to drive commercial growth within the utilities sector while contributing to the transformation of energy systems. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, while also expanding existing accounts and building long-term partnerships. Accountabilities

  • Drive new business development within utility organizations by identifying, prospecting, and engaging high-potential accounts
  • Own the full sales cycle, including discovery, solution presentation, negotiation, and deal closure
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with multi-level stakeholders across technical and business teams
  • Develop tailored business cases and ROI models to demonstrate value and accelerate decision-making
  • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and convert them into long-term, scalable customer engagements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and domain experts to align solutions with client needs
  • Manage pipeline activity, maintain CRM accuracy, and provide reliable forecasting
  • Monitor customer feedback and ensure satisfaction to drive retention and account expansion
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics within the utilities sector

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the energy or utilities sector
  • Strong understanding of utility operations and, ideally, transmission planning or grid-related frameworks
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to articulate value through measurable business outcomes
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus
  • Familiarity with US energy market structures and regulatory processes is advantageous
  • Passion for sustainability and the energy transition
