As a Coating Engineer for Ceramic, Thermal Barrier and Coating experience at Siemens Energy, you will be immersed in a dynamic international team of engineers and scientists. Your day will involve developing new coating materials, manufacturing processes, and innovative technologies for stationary gas turbines and other areas pivotal to the energy transition. You will collaborate closely with internal and external partners, including those specializing in advanced ceramic coating technologies and raw material manufacturing. Your role will encompass leading all aspects of managing and supporting the introduction of innovative technologies, from qualification and industrialization to series production. Additionally, you will explore public funding opportunities and coordinate acquisition in partnership with research institutions. Your work will span various departments and interfaces, focusing on developing new ceramic coating technologies tailored to customer requirements.How You'll Make an Impact

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in materials science, materials engineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering is preferredSeveral years of professional experience in ceramic coatings or ceramic materials, including thermal barrier coatings, corrosion coatings, technical ceramics, functional ceramics, and refractory materialsIn-depth knowledge of high-temperature materials, oxidation, and corrosion protection mechanismsProficiency in project management (PLM), fluency in German and English, and a willingness to travel internationallyApplicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
