The Role:


The Trainee Sustainability Investment Analyst position supports the activities of the Sustainable Investment team with a primary focus on the Sustainable multi-manager portfolios which service UK and International IFA markets and private clients. The Trainee Sustainability Investment Analyst will support with operational oversight of portfolio models, updating materials and investment reports, generating analysis on the portfolios to help with decision-making, and supporting client information requests and questions.


The Trainee Sustainability Investment Analyst will work with platforms such as Morningstar, FactSet and Style Analytics. Update sustainable literature including presentations, quarterly reviews, performance and asset allocation. Submit periodic data requests from third parties, such as risk profilers.


The Trainee Sustainability Investment Analyst will contribute to building efficient processes within the team, including the integration of AI tooling. Compile risk and analytics packs for sustainable investment committee meetings. Monitor markets to understand current drivers and market sentiment at the asset class and sub-asset class level.


The Trainee Sustainability Investment Analyst will contribute towards sustainable investment research, primarily focussing on third party funds across fixed income, equities, and alternatives. Support Investment and Wealth Managers with adviser/client requests for information and questions on proposition. Support communications, including sustainable investing thought-leadership content.


The Candidate


A Recent Finance, Economics, Investment Graduate (or similar degree) with a real interest in Sustainable Investing – and is able to demonstrate their interest to work in this area.

An understanding of asset classes and portfolio construction within the wealth and asset management industry.

Knowledge and interest in sustainable finance.

Interest to study and work towards the CFA qualification – if not already started.

Understanding of market cycles, drivers and characteristics

Strong communication skills and highly organised – essential!
