Your role
As Production Planner, you are responsible for translating demand into feasible production and material plans. You balance capacity, material availability and customer requirements, while maintaining close contact with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.
What you will be doing
- Create and manage short- and mid-term production plans based on demand forecasts and customer orders
- Perform material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure timely availability of components and raw materials
- Coordinate closely with purchasing, warehouse, sales and production to ensure a smooth end-to-end workflow
- Maintain regular contact with suppliers regarding forecasts, orders, lead times and delivery reliability
- Follow up on purchase orders and proactively address delays or supply issues
- Monitor inventory levels, capacity planning and stock coverage
- Identify, analyse and resolve bottlenecks in production and supply processes
- Evaluate supplier performance (quality, delivery, flexibility) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Continuously improve planning, MRP and supply chain processes and systems
- Report on planning KPIs, material availability and supplier performance
- Contribute to cross-functional improvement projects within the supply chain
This is how you win us over:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistics, supply chain or production management
- Experience in production planning and material requirements planning (MRP)
- Experience working with suppliers and follow-up of purchase orders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills and a structured, proactive way of working
- A precise, well-organized and hands-on mindset
- Experience with ERP systems, SAP is a plus
- Fluency in Dutch and English, German is a plus
