Within our Sustainable Buildings team, you'll work on some of the region's most exciting projects, including major data centre developments across Australia and APAC. Collaborating with local and global specialists, you'll help clients achieve ambitious sustainability outcomes while shaping the future of high-performance buildings and digital infrastructure.
Role Summary
As an Associate Consultant – Sustainable Buildings, you will lead the delivery of complex sustainability and Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) services across buildings, precincts and advanced facilities projects. Working as part of multidisciplinary teams, you'll provide tailored strategic sustainability advice and develop innovative solutions to deliver high performance, climate resilience, energy and resource efficiency in built environment projects to drive sustainable outcomes across market sectors. You'll also play a key role in building trusted client relationships, mentoring team members, growing capability and supporting the continued expansion of Jacobs' Sustainable Buildings practice across Australia and APAC.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of Sustainability and ESD consulting services across buildings, precincts and advanced facilities projects
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies, including climate-responsive design solutions and resource efficiency initiatives that deliver practical project outcomes
- Manage sustainability integration on multidisciplinary projects, coordinating with clients, stakeholders and project teams to achieve holistic outcomes
- Provide advice on sustainability rating tools and certifications, including Green Star, NABERS, LEED, WELL and other relevant built environment third party rating frameworks
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting project pursuits, proposals and new business opportunities
- Mentor and support team members through technical guidance, quality reviews and knowledge sharing across local and global teams.
- Experience delivering sustainability, ESD or sustainable buildings consulting services across complex projects
- Strong knowledge of sustainable design principles, climate-responsive design and whole-of-life project outcomes
- Experience in advisory and implementation of sustainability rating tools and certification frameworks such as Green Star for Australia (required)NABERS, LEED,WELL and Living Building Challenge
- Proficiency building performance analysis, embodied and operational carbon reduction strategies, life cycle assessment and resource efficiency initiatives
- Proven ability to build strong relationships, communicate effectively and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Qualifications in Architectural Science, Sustainable Design, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline, with relevant industry accreditations highly regarded
