Your impact

When it comes to environmental consulting, we’re focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We’re seeking an Air Quality Monitoring Consultant to contribute to projects that support our clients’ compliance with Air and GHG reporting and regulatory paradigms.

Based out of our Irvine CA office, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with local and global experts to ensure Jacobs provides best practice solutions to our clients. You’ll prepare and deliver high quality reports and presentation to clients’ technical and senior leadership in accordance with Jacobs’ quality process. Apply your technical experience to develop delivery strategies and develop client relationships while championing safety, quality, and the well-being of your team. Understanding and promoting Jacobs’ solutions and technologies to internal and external stakeholders.

This position may require up to 50% travel to client or team workshops, presentations, or to conduct site visits. The role will be predominantly office based, but periodic field assignments may be required.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, meteorology, or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, or other closely related technical degree
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, contractors, and teammates
  • Proven organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills
  • At least 5 years of professional air quality monitoring and reporting experience (preferably in consulting) including performing onsite installations and assisting with operations
  • Ability to travel up to 50%


Ideally, You’ll Also Have

  • Master’s degree in environmental science, meteorology, or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, or other closely related technical degree
  • Familiarity with state and federal air regulations and regulatory processes
  • Experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing work plans and quality assurance project plans
  • Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic understanding
  • Professional air quality project experience, including permitting, modeling, monitoring, and reporting (preferably in consulting)

The base salary range for this position is $86,600.00 to $130,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
