We’re growing our consulting collective and are looking for an experienced marketer who wants meaningful climate impact work on a flexible, part-time basis.


About The Role

As a Lead Marketing Consultant at Iron Core Marketing, you’ll serve as the primary owner of 1–2 client accounts at a time.


This is not a junior execution role. You’ll own strategy, lead delivery, and manage day-to-day client relationships — supported by Iron Core’s frameworks, systems, and leadership.


You’ll work directly with sales, marketing, and commercial leaders at climate tech companies to clarify positioning, launch GTM initiatives, build marketing foundations, and generate qualified pipeline.


What You’ll DoClient Strategy & Leadership
  • Lead client discovery and onboarding sessions
  • Define ICPs, positioning, messaging, and GTM priorities
  • Build practical marketing roadmaps aligned to business and revenue goals


Campaigns & Execution
  • Plan and oversee GTM initiatives (webinars, content programs, thought leadership, LinkedIn campaigns, email campaigns, etc.)
  • Oversee creation of key marketing assets (case studies, one-pagers, landing pages, messaging frameworks)
  • Ensure campaigns meet quality standards and launch timelines


Project Management & Delivery Ownership
  • Own the Asana project plan as the source of truth for each account
  • Assign tasks and manage timelines across internal consultants and client stakeholders
  • Prioritize work, manage scope, and proactively flag risks or delivery bottlenecks
  • Maintain execution cadence and delivery momentum


Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Run weekly client check-ins
  • Maintain accountability, alignment, and execution pace


Performance & Results Ownership
  • Own campaign performance tracking and reporting (registrations, leads, pipeline impact)
  • Translate results into clear client-facing insights and recommendations
  • Flag underperformance early and adjust strategy accordingly


Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with Iron Core leadership and supporting consultants
  • Contribute ideas and best practices across the team
  • Help refine repeatable delivery processes and playbooks


Who This Role Is For

You’ll be a strong fit if you:

  • Have 15+ years of marketing and communications experience
  • Have 5+ years of experience in climate tech (clean energy experience is a plus)
  • Are comfortable owning both strategy and execution
  • Have led campaigns end-to-end (not just supported them)
  • Are confident working directly with executive stakeholders
  • Prefer variety and ownership over narrow channel specialization
  • Have prior consulting or fractional experience


This role is NOT a fit if you:

  • Are looking for purely junior execution work
  • Only want to specialize in one channel (SEO-only, ads-only, design-only, etc.)
  • Need heavy day-to-day direction
  • Prefer highly structured corporate environments
  • Are seeking guaranteed full-time hours immediately

Compensation

Starting at $125/hour, with higher rates available based on experience, performance, and account ownership scope
