Carbon Market Specialist

We’re looking for a Carbon Market Specialist to join a growing team driving impact in carbon trading, offsetting, and certification frameworks across the UK and globally.

This is a flexible, remote-friendly role for someone with deep knowledge of carbon markets and the ability to translate complex environmental standards into actionable insights.

The Role

As a Carbon Market Specialist, you will:

• Provide expertise on carbon credit markets, trading, and regulatory frameworks
• Support clients and internal teams on certification, verification, and compliance processes in carbon markets
• Analyze emerging trends in carbon pricing, ESG reporting, and voluntary / compliance markets
• Collaborate with sustainability, finance, and strategy teams to develop actionable market insights
• Represent the organization at industry forums, workshops, and client discussions

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience in carbon markets, carbon credit certification, or climate finance
• Understanding of carbon standards, verification, and reporting frameworks (e.g., VCS, Gold Standard, CDM, EU ETS)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate technical carbon market data into strategic insight
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Passion for sustainability, climate action, and net-zero initiatives
