About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Boston office. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong foundation in electrical design, project execution, and cross-discipline coordination.

The position offers the chance to mentor junior engineers, contribute technical expertise, and take ownership of significant project responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of tenant fit-outs and contribute to base building/infrastructure upgrades, including riser diagrams, schedules, and floor plans.
• Plan and coordinate routing of major distribution systems, main equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers.
• Execute and oversee design tasks that support overall trade systems (e.g., branch circuiting, ductwork distribution, piping distribution).
• Review shop drawings, conduct site visits, and perform punch-lists to ensure design intent is met during construction.
• Develop documentation for each project phase (SD, DD, CD, specifications) in alignment with industry standards and client requirements.
• Mentor junior staff, share technical knowledge, and actively support professional development.
• Participate in team-building initiatives, knowledge-sharing sessions, and office events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the MEP industry with a focus on electrical design.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design calculation software.
• EIT license, or on track to get one. Salaries changing depending on PE or EIT.
• Knowledge of project scope management, trade-related codes (energy, building, electrical), and multidisciplinary coordination.
