The Electrical Engineer will support the development, design, and implementation of distributed generation solar and energy storage projects. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, power systems, and design standards. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the design and execution of cutting‑edge renewable energy systems while working closely with development, EPC, and operations teams. Prepare and review electrical designs including one‑line diagrams, three‑line diagrams, conduit and wiring schedules, and grounding plans. Support interconnection applications under Rule 21, WDAT, and CAISO; Conduct or review power system studies such as load flow, short‑circuit, and protection coordination analyses. Specify and evaluate major electrical equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, and BESS systems. Provide technical support during construction and commissioning, including reviewing submittals, RFIs, and test results. Collaborate cross‑functionally to identify cost‑effective and reliable engineering solutions. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (required). Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the design or review of solar PV, BESS, or distributed generation electrical systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVSyst, ETAP, and ArcGIS, with a willingness to learn new software tools. Proven organizational and project management abilities.
