? Operations Associate – Early Stage Tech Start-up

London | £35,000 – £50,000

? Build Systems | Solve Problems | Hybrid (2–3 days/week in London)

Are you the kind of person who loves solving tricky problems, building order out of chaos, and getting things done — fast?

This is your chance to join a well-funded, mission-driven climate tech start-up that’s transforming how people use and manage home energy. Backed by top-tier investors and growing fast, they’re looking for a hands-on Operations Associate to help scale the business — keeping the wheels turning as everything grows at speed.

? The Role

You’ll work across operations, customer experience, and product — understanding how everything fits together and making sure it all runs smoothly. From diagnosing complex issues to improving internal processes and supporting customers when things go wrong, you’ll be at the heart of the action.

This is not a role for someone who just follows scripts or waits to be told what to do. It’s for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can think critically about complex systems, and wants to help build something massive from the ground up.

? What You’ll Do

  • Dive deep into operational challenges — figure out what’s broken, why, and how to fix it
  • Investigate complex customer or product issues, get to the root cause, and communicate it clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Build and refine processes to help the business scale efficiently
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to make sure operational learnings feed into the roadmap
  • Support onboarding, logistics, and day-to-day coordination to keep everything running smoothly
  • Help design self-serve resources, documentation, and internal tools to make the business faster and smarter
  • Take ownership of projects end-to-end — even when things are messy or undefined

? You Should Apply If You…

  • Have 1–4 years of experience in operations, customer support, or analytical roles (startup experience a plus)
  • Are naturally curious and love understanding how complex systems work
  • Can explain tricky concepts simply and clearly — whether to customers, engineers, or execs
  • Thrive in fast-paced, unpredictable environments and don’t need someone telling you what to do
  • Are hungry, ambitious, and want to help build a business that could have a massive impact
  • Are analytical and data-driven, ideally with a STEM or quantitative background
  • (Bonus) Have experience in climate tech, hardware, or B2C products

? The Package

  • £35,000 – £50,000 base salary (depending on experience)
  • Hybrid working: 2–3 days/week in their London office
  • Huge opportunity to shape the operational backbone of a rapidly scaling company
