We are currently seeking an experienced Level 3 Wind Technician with deep experience on GE platforms (1.X, 2.X, converter systems, troubleshooting) to support maintenance and repair activities across our renewable energy operations.
Role Overview
As a Level 3 Wind Technician, you will lead advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair operations on wind turbines. This role requires strong technical ability, leadership skills, and the capacity to mentor developing technicians while maintaining a high standard of safety and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities on wind turbines and supporting systems.
- Perform advanced diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Specialize in troubleshooting GE platform turbines, including converter systems.
- Train and develop Level 1–2 technicians, reinforcing best practices and safety standards.
- Implement and refine preventive maintenance procedures to improve turbine reliability.
- Partner with the Site Lead and Operations teams to prioritize work and allocate resources.
- Complete all documentation to company and OEM standards.
- Assist with inventory, tools, and spare parts management.
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Champion a safety-first work environment in all tasks and decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on proficiency with GE turbines (1.X, 2.X, converter systems, troubleshooting) — required and non-negotiable.
- Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Wind Technician or similar field role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic turbine systems.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities — directing work, mentoring, or leading small crews.
- Ability to climb up to 100m (300 ft) multiple times daily and work in all weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred (not required):
- Technical degree or wind/industrial maintenance certification.
- Experience with work planning, documentation platforms, or SCADA/turbine monitoring tools.
