Role Overview

We are looking for a Solar PV Module Expert with 6–9 years of relevant experience in PV module manufacturing, module technology, process engineering, quality or technical operations.

The candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise on PV module technologies, manufacturing processes, materials, quality and product performance, while working closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, R&D, Procurement and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in Solar PV Module manufacturing and technology.
  • Understand end-to-end PV module manufacturing processes, including cell interconnection, stringing, layup, lamination, framing, junction-box installation and testing.
  • Work with PV technologies such as Mono PERC, TOPCon, HJT and other relevant technologies.
  • Develop/review Module BOMs and technical specifications.
  • Evaluate module materials such as solar cells, glass, EVA/POE, backsheets, ribbons, junction boxes, frames and sealants.
  • Support technical evaluation and qualification of suppliers/materials.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and vendors for technical specifications, quality requirements and material approvals.
  • Identify manufacturing defects and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Monitor module quality, reliability, yield and performance.
  • Support process improvement and yield improvement initiatives.
  • Review technical datasheets, test reports, specifications and quality documents.
  • Work with Production, Quality and Engineering teams during new product/process development.
  • Support qualification of new materials, suppliers and module technologies.
  • Troubleshoot issues such as cell cracks, soldering defects, EL defects, delamination, bubbles, hotspots and junction-box issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable IEC and PV module quality standards.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Power electronic, Electronic, Electrical or Renewable

Energy).

• Overall experience of minimum 6-8 years with proven experience in PV module

engineering & procurement.

• Proficiency in solar design software (e.g., PVsyst).

• Strong understanding of photovoltaic (PV) technologies, electrical systems, and renewable

energy principles.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

• Evaluation of different module technology like Bifi, HJT. Prepare detail quality plan for

module considering different BOMs.

• Prepare energy yield assessment, NPV analysis for different technology, and module techno-

commercial offer evaluation, Drawing approval, and module procurement.

• Module factory assessment, Stage inspection, PAN file validation.

• Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to PV modules.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate

effectively in a team environment.
