Installio is building the platform powering the next generation of clean energy installations across the UK. We work with energy companies, consumer brands and housing providers to deliver heat pumps, solar and home electrification at scale.

As demand for low-carbon heating accelerates, we are looking for a Clean-tech Sales Specialist to help homeowners navigate the transition and convert demand into installations.

This role sits at the intersection of technical and high-conversion sales, helping customers understand the benefits of heat pumps and solar while driving Installio’s commercial growth.

The RoleThis is a high-impact commercial role responsible for converting inbound demand into installations. You will be the first expert voice homeowners speak to, helping them understand whether heat pumps or solar are right for their property and guiding them through the decision process. Most of your time will be spent speaking with customers, diagnosing their property, answering technical questions, and moving them confidently toward installation.

You will work closely with Installio’s survey, design and delivery teams to ensure customers move seamlessly from enquiry to installation.

What You'll DoLead Conversion & Sales

  • Convert inbound enquiries into booked surveys and confirmed installations
  • Own and manage your sales pipeline from enquiry to close
  • Follow up warm leads and nurture prospects through the decision process
  • Present system proposals and pricing clearly and confidently
  • Consistently meet or exceed conversion and revenue targets

Technical Consultation

  • Help homeowners understand whether heat pumps or solar are suitable for their home
  • Explain system performance, running costs, installation requirements and timelines
  • Address common concerns around noise, efficiency and cold weather performance
  • Educate customers on government incentives such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme
  • Translate technical system designs into clear customer recommendations

Customer Management

  • Build rapport and trust with homeowners considering heat pumps and solar panels
  • Handle objections confidently and turn concerns into opportunities
  • Follow up systematically with prospects in your pipeline
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely follow-up actions

Estimating & Proposal Tools

  • Use design and estimating software to create customer-ready estimates and proposals
  • Translate technical design outputs into clear options, pricing, and next steps for customers

Collaboration

  • Share customer insights with marketing and product teams
  • Identify patterns in objections or friction points
  • Contribute to improving scripts, sales processes and tools
  • Help refine Installio’s customer journey as we scale

Requirements

  • 2–5 years experience in sales, inside sales or consultative customer roles
  • Proven track record hitting sales or conversion targets
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly on the phone
  • Strong curiosity and ability to quickly understand technical products
  • Comfortable explaining complex topics in simple terms
  • Highly organised with strong pipeline management
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve targets

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of renewables, energy sector, or technical background
  • Experience selling technical products requiring customer education
  • Understanding of residential retrofit or home improvement sales
  • Previous startup or scale-up experience

Benefits

  • £30,000 – £35,000 base salary depending on experience with uncapped commission (OTE 45-50k)
