Project Development Manager (Two openings) Full-time · Fully remote (Barcelona preferred; CET -2h welcome for strong candidates) · Project Development Team


InSoil is a leading soil carbon project developer scaling regenerative agriculture across Central & Eastern Europe, with more than 770,000 hectares enrolled. Our Verra VCS projects turn healthier soils into high-integrity carbon credits — restoring soil health, strengthening farmer livelihoods, and cutting the greenhouse gases driving climate change. We are looking for two Project Development Managers to join our growing Project Development Team, reporting to the Head of Project Development. This is a knowledge-driven role where carbon science meets business: you will help our teams apply the rules that make carbon credits credible — and grow fast in one of the most dynamic corners of climate action.


What you will do

  • Drive Verra VCS compliance for our Poland and Lithuania projects, supporting validation and verification with our VVB.
  • Act as the go-to resource on VCS rules and the VM0042 methodology (Improved Agricultural Land Management), technically supporting the MRV and Farmer Engagement Teams in understanding and applying them.
  • Conduct targeted research on carbon standards, methodologies and market developments (e.g. CRCF).
  • Support due diligence processes for carbon credit buyers and rating agencies.
  • Build shared knowledge and optimise cross-team workflows that keep project development on schedule.


What you bring

  • 2 + years (4+ preferred) working on land-based carbon projects under Verra, Gold Standard, Isometric, CRCF, CCPs or other global standards.
  • Masters or PhD in Environmental Science, Agronomy, Sustainability, Climate Change, Engineering, Business or a related field.
  • Proven excellent technical writing and research skills.
  • A goal-oriented, flexible, constructive and problem-solving mindset — and strong team-playing skills.
  • The ability to deliver high-quality outputs with a high degree of autonomy.
  • The ability to work under pressure managing competing priorities.
  • Advanced AI skills (or willingness to develop these together).
  • A strong interest in balancing commercial objectives, scientific rigour, and tangible value for farmers.
