Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager supports schedule controls and construction management teams by verifying and communicating field progress on active capital construction projects. This role works closely with project controls, CM teams, and contractors to validate progress against the integrated project schedule, with a strong focus on critical and near‑critical activities. The position plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely schedule updates and clear communication for reporting and stakeholder alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify claimed and in-progress field work against the project schedule
- Assess progress of critical and near-critical construction activities
- Support bi-weekly schedule updates, reporting, and stakeholder presentations
- Collaborate closely with project controls, CM teams, and contractors
- Learn and operate within Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) scheduling platform
Success Measures
- On-time verification and compliance of contractor bi-weekly schedule updates
- Positive stakeholder feedback on the accuracy and reliability of schedule data
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 1–5 years of experience in construction project controls or related roles
- Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, large team environments
Nice to Have
- Experience tracking physical construction progress
- Primavera Cloud (OPC) or Primavera P6 exposure
- Strong attention to detail and confidence raising risks or discrepancies
