JOB DESCRIPTION

Johnson & Johnson business-oriented Project Manager to support a large-scale facilities and site transition initiative with one of our clients in the Bay Area. This is not a technical or construction PM role. The focus is on logistics, coordination, change management, and cross-functional execution to support the phased movement of people and operations across multiple buildings. The Project Manager will operate at a management level, serving as the central point of coordination across facilities, internal functions, and leadership to ensure timelines, dependencies, and impacts are clearly understood and actively managed.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Own execution of a multi-phase site transition involving two buildings, serving as the central point of coordination for the site
  • Manage project plans, timelines, phase sequencing, and readiness activities across facilities-related workstreams
  • Coordinate with facilities, operations, and internal business teams to ensure clarity on expectations before, during, and after each phase
  • Drive logistics and change readiness for both temporary and permanent movement of people, workspaces, and operations
  • Track dependencies and ensure downstream phases are actively progressing while current phases are in execution
  • Proactively identify risks, delays, or resourcing gaps and escalate to keep momentum
  • Communicate impacts and changes clearly to stakeholders, including timing shifts and operational implications
  • Provide concise, actionable status updates to leadership highlighting progress, risks, and decisions needed
  • Push back thoughtfully when direction conflicts with execution realities, timelines, or project goals
  • Hold teams accountable while maintaining strong working relationships

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in project management, process improvement, or operational coordination within an onsite environment o Experience supporting space planning, site operations, logistics, process flow improvements, or non-technical operational initiatives is ideal
  • Strong experience coordinating across multiple teams and workstreams, ensuring alignment and follow-through
  • Proven ability to manage multi-phase projects with competing timelines and dependencies
  • Practical experience with change management and stakeholder communication
  • Strong business judgment with the confidence to escalate issues, ask hard questions, and keep teams accountable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication - able to clearly translate plans, impacts, and updates to diverse audiences
  • Highly organized, execution-focused, and detail-oriented

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • CI background – Lean Six Sigma / Belt Certifications
  • Proven experience supporting facility transitions, expansions, relocations, or site integrations
  • Experience within a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment

JOB INFO:

  • Job Type: Contract
  • Duration: 1 year, plus extensions or possible FTE conversion
  • Hourly Pay Range: $45.00-$50.00
