Program Manager
Position Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to successfully deliver customer programs across the full product lifecycle, including design, development, New Product Introduction (NPI), mass production, sustaining, and end-of-life (EOL). This role serves as the primary customer interface and is accountable for program execution, schedule adherence, cost management, and overall customer satisfaction in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary customer interface throughout the design, development, manufacturing, and service phases of NPI programs, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and contractual commitments
- Establish, manage, and ensure compliance with customer agreements, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and service levels
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance) to ensure on-time, high-quality program delivery
- Prepare and support RFQ (Request for Quotation) responses, including timeline, cost inputs, and feasibility assessments
- Develop competitive and profitable cost models in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery, cost, quality, and yield to assess program health and drive corrective actions
- Identify risks and implement mitigation plans related to schedule, cost, supply chain, and production
- Lead regular cross-functional program reviews and project status meetings to ensure alignment, transparency, and issue resolution
- Secure required capacity, materials, and manpower to support customer demand and volume requirements
- Ensure global supply chain readiness and lead resolution of internal site or external supplier disruptions
- Oversee Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and manage change control processes to ensure proper implementation and communication
- Apply structured change, risk, and resource management methodologies throughout the program lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 2-3 years of program/project management experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, or related industry
- Strong knowledge of NPI processes, product lifecycle management, and manufacturing operations
- Experience working with global customers and cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to manage complex programs, multiple priorities, and tight deadlines
Plusses
- Familiarity with RFQ processes, cost modeling, and contract management
- Strong understanding of supply chain, capacity planning, and production ramp
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus
