Project Manager
Location: Rockford, Illinois
Duration: 18-24 month contract
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the strategic relocation of a multi-functional facility in Rockford, IL. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless transition to a new site by July 2027, aligning with operational, technical, and business requirements across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end relocation project, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Gather and document requirements from diverse departments including Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Quality, HR, and more.
- Collaborate with real estate agents to identify and secure a suitable facility with potential for future expansion.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to execute the move efficiently.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and dashboards using Microsoft 365 tools.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including regular presentations and progress updates (approx. 30% of time).
- Build and manage a cross-functional project team, ensuring alignment and accountability across all phases.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in facility relocation or cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project 365 and related collaboration tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Plus:
- PMP certification is a strong asset.
- Background in aerospace or similar technical industries is preferred but not required.
Compensation:
$40/hr to $50/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
