Production Supervisor
The VSTL role is an entry-level production supervisor position on the second shift (4 PM to midnight) at the Ravenna location. It serves as a development pipeline for higher leadership roles such as Value Stream Manager and Plant Manager. The role requires coaching, developing, and supporting team members, with a strong emphasis values and virtues, especially safety and accountability. Candidates should have a four-year degree (any discipline), with business preferred but not required. Supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory; leadership potential and people skills are critical. The second shift operates within a three-shift system, managing approximately 20 to 25 operators, including full-time and temporary employees. The facility is large, with multiple value streams including hose assembly, harness, plastics extrusion, and warehouse operations. The role involves managing production lines and warehouse functions, with some turnover and training responsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates can be fresh graduates with leadership or coaching experience, such as mentoring in college.
The role focuses heavily on people management skills, including conflict resolution and fostering a positive culture.
Certifications like OSHA or Lean are valued but not mandatory
