Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 5-12 years of mechanical design and engineering experience.
- Experience designing HVAC, plumbing, hydronic, and building mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with mechanical design software and BIM/CAD platforms.
- Pre-fabrication
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Experience performing engineering calculations and system analyses.
- Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative office-based environment.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- NCEES Record.
- Experience supporting large-scale commercial, healthcare, advanced technology, manufacturing, mission-critical, or data center projects.
- Experience within design-build, integrated project delivery, or multidisciplinary engineering environments.
Job Description
This role can sit in Phoenix, Austin, NorCAl, SoCal, or Tampa with 10-20% travel involved.
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, design, analysis, and documentation of mechanical building systems for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical construction projects. This role partners with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop coordinated design solutions while ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards. The position is primarily office-based and focuses on engineering design, technical analysis, coordination, and project documentation.
Compensation :
$65/hr to $75/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
