Insight Global is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a national AEC firm. This role oversees the scope, scheduling, and budgeting of municipal water and wastewater projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. They'll lead multi-discipline teams, coordinate with clients to address their needs, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Financial management, including budget monitoring and cost control, will be a key part of the role, along with preparing and presenting project reports and documentation. Additionally, they'll identify and resolve any issues that arise, ensuring successful project completion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • 10+ YOE with water/wastewater projects such as: Sewer system rehabilitation (pipelines, manholes, pump stations), Water and wastewater treatment plant upgrades, stormwater management systems, water reuse and distribution network improvements.
  • Experience managing multi-discipline project requiring cross-functional coordination.
  • Projects that incorporate many different technical areas and teams. For example, a treatment plant expansion or sewer rehabilitation that brings together civil, structural, mechanical, electoral, I&C, etc. components.
  • Experience with municipal clients .
  • PMP—must obtain within 6 months if not already held.

Pluses:

  • PE not required, highly preferred.
  • Design experience not required, highly preferred.
  • Experience with larger firms—exposure to similar scale company structure, process, and tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing water/wastewater design, permitting, and construction services from early concept development through construction
  • Serving as a leader of project teams and mentoring junior staff, including the coordination, and reviewing of project assignments
  • Effectively working with key technical specialists, project team members, and delivery managers
  • Assisting with preparation of design drawings and specifications on large, complex, multi-discipline design projects
  • Preparing, monitoring, and managing project budgets and schedules while managing the firm’s risk
  • Providing high level planning and program analysis work including preparation of technical documents/reports
  • Being active in the water/wastewater industry, keeping abreast of emerging technologies, research/development opportunities, and conference/committee participation in professional societies
  • Assisting in new business development by contributing to strategic planning, marketing, and business operations planning
  • Collaborating with sales staff to create proposals in response to client requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Interfacing with clients and government officials to clarify technical questions and providing updates to upper management as necessary
