Job Description

  • Lead all safety, quality, and production activities for assigned operations.
  • Supervise and develop approximately 8 employees while maintaining staffing and production goals.
  • Complete production reporting and operational documentation.
  • Troubleshoot production, equipment, and process issues.
  • Coordinate resources and labor to maximize production efficiency.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained on safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Support preventive maintenance activities and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Drive accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Monitor plant performance metrics and communicate results to leadership.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to support overall plant operations and prepare for future leadership opportunities.

Skills and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory or management experience (lead experience alone will not qualify).
  • Manufacturing background.
  • Proven leadership experience managing employees and production operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Experience driving safety, quality, and production performance.
  • Plastics manufacturing experience.
  • Extrusion manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading multiple shifts or large production teams.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Continuous improvement/Lean manufacturing experience.
