Pay Rate: $50-55/hr (negotiable based on experience)
Overview
We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead energy efficiency and clean energy capital projects across a large facilities portfolio. This role oversees performance‑based energy projects from planning through execution and post‑installation performance tracking. The position partners closely with engineering consultants, ESCO partners, utilities, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with long‑term sustainability goals.
This role is ideal for a project manager who understands both construction delivery and energy performance accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage energy performance contract projects, including HVAC, lighting, and building controls upgrades
- Oversee ESCO partners to ensure scope, schedule, and savings commitments are met
- Lead project planning, budgeting, execution, and closeout activities
- Own measurement and verification processes and reporting
- Track and document energy savings against contractual guarantees
- Coordinate renewable energy, solar, EV charging, and electrification initiatives
- Partner with utilities on infrastructure and interconnection requirements
- Support grant‑funded and incentive‑backed projects with compliance and reporting
- Evaluate funding, rebate, and clean energy financing opportunities
- Collaborate with internal departments and external consultants throughout delivery
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, energy management, or a related field
- Experience managing energy efficiency or infrastructure projects across large facilities portfolios
- Working knowledge of energy performance contracting models
- Experience with HVAC, lighting, controls, or energy infrastructure projects
- Strong vendor management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Experience with renewable energy or electrification projects
- Public sector or institutional facilities experience
