Project Manager
Must Haves:
- Bachelors degree or field service experience
- 2-3 years experience as a Project Manager
- Looking for construction experience
- Experience independently managing projects from start to finish
- Will be managing smaller projects typically under $100k
- Estimating experience
- Ability to estimate change orders, etc.
- Good communication and personality
- Great organizational skills and ability to multitask
Plusses:
- Engineering degree
- Experience working on commercial/industrial projects
- Mechanical/HVAC project background
Responsibilities:
- Review job estimates and prepare project budgets. Review with COO.
- Review contract drawings, detail drawings, and specifications
- Estimate and negotiate change orders
- Estimate and submit bids
- Prepare and review submittals
- Track, forecast, report labor hours, materials, and sub-contractor costs
- Buyout major equipment and subcontracts
- Expedite and track deliveries of major equipment/materials
- Maintain working knowledge of general conditions, work scope, and specifications of project contract/subcontract
- Maintain and control documents in compliance with ES Fagan standards as well as contractual compliance
- Plan, organize and staff key field positions through department heads.
- Supervise superintendents and project foreman on assigned projects
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy
- Initiate and maintain liaison with client and A/E contacts, to facilitate construction activities
- Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures
- Ensure full compliance with ES Fagan safety policy
- Provide proactive, clear, and timely communication to team members
- Be professional and uphold ES Fagan core values
- Represent company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with client
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives
